How this service is delivered: after checkout, send us the file you edited. Use the contact form (up to 25 MB per file) or just reply to your receipt — and send the original read too, if you still have it. Nothing connects to your truck: the file comes back ready to use, usually within one business day, with everything you edited left exactly as you edited it.

NavKal .NAV → .ZENC repack

You opened a NavKal container, edited the read, and now nothing will take the file back: NavKal wants a .zenc, and a .zenc is not your read with a wrapper stuck on it. Send us your edited read together with the original .zenc it came from, and we put your bytes back inside a container NavKal accepts.

Why the original file has to come too

This is the part most people get wrong, and the reason a rebuild done from the read alone fails. When a container holds a flash transcript it also carries sequence numbers, module identifiers and a tail that NavKal checks — details that exist nowhere in the read and cannot be invented. So your untouched .zenc becomes the mould: only the bytes that came out of the module are replaced with yours, and everything else is preserved exactly as Navistar wrote it. One file is not enough for this job, and any service that says otherwise is guessing.

Order this when

  • You edited a MaxxForce read and need it back in a form NavKal will flash.
  • A rebuilt .zenc was rejected by NavKal, or flashed and behaved as if nothing had changed.
  • You have the read but are not sure which of your .zenc files it came out of.
  • You want the round trip checked properly before the file goes anywhere near a module.

What to send

  • Your edited read — .nav, .bin, or the Intel HEX if that is what came out.
  • The original .zenc, untouched. Required: it is the mould, not a formality.
  • A word about what you changed, if you know the address range — it makes the check faster.

The check that comes with it

Every file we hand back is opened again and compared against the read you sent, byte for byte. If a single byte differs, you do not get the file — you get told why. That check matters because a transcript only writes the regions the original flash session wrote: an edit outside those regions cannot survive the round trip, and a file that flashes with your change silently missing is far worse than being told no. If that happens we tell you straight away and sort the order out with you rather than hand over something that looks fine.

How the order runs

  1. Order this service — one order covers one file pair.
  2. Send both files through the contact form (up to 25 MB per attachment) or by reply to your receipt.
  3. We rebuild the container, verify the round trip, and send it back — usually within one business day.

Asked often

Do you recalculate the checksum of my read? No, and deliberately so: this service wraps exactly the bytes you supply. If the read needs its checksum corrected first, that is Siemens MaxxForce checksum correction — do that, then send the corrected read here.

I do not have the original .zenc any more. Then say so before you order. Without the mould there is nothing honest we can do, and we would rather tell you that in one message.

Does this need NavKal or a licence? No. Nothing from Navistar is involved on your side, and nothing gets installed on your laptop.

Which engines does this cover? The Navistar / MaxxForce families NavKal serves — DT, N9 and N13 among them — in all four container kinds we see: straight reads, both dialects of flash transcript, and Intel HEX.

The other half of this job: NavKal .ZENC file decryption opens the container in the first place. Order both if you are starting from a .zenc and want to end at a .zenc. All checksum and file services. We work on tuning, calibration and file repair only — we do not remove or disable emissions equipment.

Four steps, start to finish

01

Order the right line

Pick the family that matches your file and pay. One order per file — batches are welcome, one line each.

02

Send the file

Reply to the receipt or use the contact form. Send the original read too if you still have it: it is not required, but it halves the guesswork.

03

We do the work

A technician confirms which family and map area the file belongs to, then corrects the checksums — or decrypts the file, if that is what you ordered.

04

You get it back

Back to the same email address, usually within one business day, done and ready to use.

  • One file, one price — no subscription, no hourly billing.
  • Nothing is connected to your truck: this is file work from start to finish.
  • Only what has to change changes — your edits come back exactly as you made them.
