Temic / Continental Checksum Correction
Checksum correction for edited Temic / Continental truck ECU files. Flat rate per file, returned ready to flash.
How this service is delivered: after checkout, send us the file you edited. Use the contact form (up to 25 MB per file) or just reply to your receipt — and send the original read too, if you still have it. Nothing connects to your truck: the file comes back ready to use, usually within one business day, with everything you edited left exactly as you edited it.

Temic / Continental checksum correction
Temic (Continental) control units are the ones fitted to Detroit Diesel trucks as MCM and ACM — two modules on one vehicle, each with its own data area and its own checks. Change bytes in either and the file stops verifying. We recalculate what the controller checks and return the file ready to flash, with your edits exactly as you made them.
What it fixes
- An edited MCM or ACM file that the tool refuses to write.
- A write that looked fine and then faulted — classically, one module corrected and the other left stale.
- Files that were merged, cut or rebuilt from a partial read.
The trap worth knowing
An engine and its aftertreatment are handled by two different modules. Correcting one and forgetting the other is the usual reason a job looks finished and comes back a week later. If your work touched both, send both files and order one line for each — it costs the same as doing it twice later, and saves the trip.
What to send
- The edited file — say which module it came from (MCM or ACM).
- The original read if you have it.
- The software or part number of the module, if it is to hand.
How it runs
- Order this service, one file per order.
- Send the file through the contact form or by reply to your receipt.
- We identify the layout, correct the checks and send it back, usually within one business day.
Asked often
Can you tell which module a file came from? Usually yes — but telling us is faster and removes any doubt.
Will my calibration change? No. Only the verification values move.
Do I need to be at the truck? No. Nothing is connected to the vehicle for this service.

Four steps, start to finish
Order the right line
Pick the family that matches your file and pay. One order per file — batches are welcome, one line each.
Send the file
Reply to the receipt or use the contact form. Send the original read too if you still have it: it is not required, but it halves the guesswork.
We do the work
A technician confirms which family and map area the file belongs to, then corrects the checksums — or decrypts the file, if that is what you ordered.
You get it back
Back to the same email address, usually within one business day, done and ready to use.
- One file, one price — no subscription, no hourly billing.
- Nothing is connected to your truck: this is file work from start to finish.
- Only what has to change changes — your edits come back exactly as you made them.
