How this service is delivered: after checkout, send us the file you edited. Use the contact form (up to 25 MB per file) or just reply to your receipt — and send the original read too, if you still have it. Nothing connects to your truck: the file comes back ready to use, usually within one business day, with everything you edited left exactly as you edited it.

Siemens MaxxForce checksum correction

Navistar MaxxForce engines run Siemens control units, and their calibrations circulate as .nav and .bin files. Like every controller in this trade, the module verifies its own contents before accepting a write — so an edited file with stale checks is refused, or worse, accepted and then faulted. We recalculate what the module verifies and send the file back valid.

Order this when

  • An edited MaxxForce calibration is rejected by the tool, or the write does not complete.
  • A .nav or .bin was cut, merged or rebuilt and no longer validates.
  • You are not certain what a file even is — we read the software identity out of the file itself, which tells you what you are actually holding.

What is covered

Siemens control units from Navistar MaxxForce engines, in the ServiceMaxx-facing .nav format and in plain .bin reads. If your file arrived from NavKal as an encrypted .zenc, that is a different job first: see NavKal .ZENC file decryption, then come back here if the decrypted calibration still needs correcting.

What to send

  • The edited .nav or .bin.
  • The original file if you still have it.
  • Engine model and software level if you know them — helpful, not required.

How it works

  1. Order this line — one order, one file.
  2. Send the file through the contact form or by reply.
  3. We correct it and send it back, usually within one business day.

Asked often

Can you tell me which software version my file is? Yes — it is written inside the file, and we read it as part of the job.

Do my edits survive? Completely. Nothing else in the file is touched.

Is a session with the truck needed? No. File in, file out.

Four steps, start to finish

01

Order the right line

Pick the family that matches your file and pay. One order per file — batches are welcome, one line each.

02

Send the file

Reply to the receipt or use the contact form. Send the original read too if you still have it: it is not required, but it halves the guesswork.

03

We do the work

A technician confirms which family and map area the file belongs to, then corrects the checksums — or decrypts the file, if that is what you ordered.

04

You get it back

Back to the same email address, usually within one business day, done and ready to use.

  • One file, one price — no subscription, no hourly billing.
  • Nothing is connected to your truck: this is file work from start to finish.
  • Only what has to change changes — your edits come back exactly as you made them.
