Bosch EDC17 Checksum Correction
Checksum correction for edited Bosch EDC17 heavy-truck calibration files. Flat rate per file, returned ready to flash.
How this service is delivered: after checkout, send us the file you edited. Use the contact form (up to 25 MB per file) or just reply to your receipt — and send the original read too, if you still have it. Nothing connects to your truck: the file comes back ready to use, usually within one business day, with everything you edited left exactly as you edited it.

Bosch EDC17 checksum correction
EDC17 is the widest platform in this trade and the one that most often lands on our desk half-edited by someone else’s tool. The controller verifies its own contents before it accepts a write, so an edited file with stale checksums either gets refused by the flash tool, aborts mid-write, or — the expensive one — goes in and faults later. We recalculate the checks and return the file ready to flash.
What this service is for
- Your flash tool stops with a checksum error and will not write the edited file.
- A file was edited by hand, or by a tool whose checksum routine did not cover this variant.
- A read was cut, merged or padded, and the file no longer verifies.
- You want a second pair of eyes on a file before it goes anywhere near a truck.
Scope, stated plainly
We correct the map and data-area checks on the common heavy-truck EDC17 families — the platform WinOLS users know by its plugin number, OLS807. EDC17 is not one ECU but a large family, so if you are not sure yours is inside that scope, send us the ECU number and the software number and ask before you pay. We answer honestly; a job we cannot do is not worth taking.
What to send
- The edited file, exactly as your tool wrote it out.
- The original read — strongly recommended here. On EDC17 it is the fastest way to prove what changed and what must not.
- The ECU part number / software number, and which tool produced the read (KESS, KTAG, bench, OBD…).
How it works
- Order the service — one file per order.
- Send the file through the contact form (up to 25 MB per attachment) or by reply.
- We identify the variant, correct the checks and send the file back, usually within one business day.
Asked often
Will the tune be altered? No. Your maps come back exactly as you made them.
Is a bench read different from an OBD read? It can be, and it matters — tell us which one you have, it saves a round trip.
My file is over 25 MB. Say so in the contact form and we will arrange another way to send it.

Four steps, start to finish
Order the right line
Pick the family that matches your file and pay. One order per file — batches are welcome, one line each.
Send the file
Reply to the receipt or use the contact form. Send the original read too if you still have it: it is not required, but it halves the guesswork.
We do the work
A technician confirms which family and map area the file belongs to, then corrects the checksums — or decrypts the file, if that is what you ordered.
You get it back
Back to the same email address, usually within one business day, done and ready to use.
- One file, one price — no subscription, no hourly billing.
- Nothing is connected to your truck: this is file work from start to finish.
- Only what has to change changes — your edits come back exactly as you made them.
