How this service is delivered: after checkout, send us the file you edited. Use the contact form (up to 25 MB per file) or just reply to your receipt — and send the original read too, if you still have it. Nothing connects to your truck: the file comes back ready to use, usually within one business day, with everything you edited left exactly as you edited it.

NavKal .ZENC file decryption

NavKal distributes Navistar calibrations as .zenc files — encrypted containers. You can hold one, copy it and flash it, but you cannot read it: no maps, no parameters, no way to compare two of them or check what a file actually is. Send us the .zenc and we return the calibration that was inside, in a form you can open with your own tools.

What you can do once it is open

  • See what a calibration really contains before it goes near an engine.
  • Compare two calibrations and find what differs between them.
  • Identify a file properly — software level and identity are written inside.
  • Work on it in the editor you already use, instead of a black box.

What you get back

The decrypted calibration from your .zenc, returned by email, plus a note of what it identifies as. This service is decryption only: it does not modify, tune or re-encrypt anything. If the calibration then needs its checks corrected after you edit it, that is the separate Siemens MaxxForce checksum correction service.

What to send

  • The .zenc file itself — complete, exactly as NavKal produced it.
  • Its original filename, if it has been renamed along the way.

How the order runs

  1. Order this service — one order covers one file.
  2. Send the .zenc through the contact form (attachments up to 25 MB) or by reply to your receipt.
  3. We decrypt it and send the calibration back, usually within one business day.

Asked often

Is the original file changed? No. Your .zenc comes back untouched; the decrypted calibration is delivered alongside it.

Several files? One order per file, or ask us first about a batch.

Can you re-encrypt it into a .zenc? That is not part of this service. Tell us what you are trying to achieve and we will say plainly whether we can help.

How long are my files kept? Attachments sent through the contact form are deleted automatically after 15 days.

Four steps, start to finish

01

Order the right line

Pick the family that matches your file and pay. One order per file — batches are welcome, one line each.

02

Send the file

Reply to the receipt or use the contact form. Send the original read too if you still have it: it is not required, but it halves the guesswork.

03

We do the work

A technician confirms which family and map area the file belongs to, then corrects the checksums — or decrypts the file, if that is what you ordered.

04

You get it back

Back to the same email address, usually within one business day, done and ready to use.

  • One file, one price — no subscription, no hourly billing.
  • Nothing is connected to your truck: this is file work from start to finish.
  • Only what has to change changes — your edits come back exactly as you made them.
